For the 30TH YEAR of our annual Hearts of Hermosa fundraiser, we’re celebrating with a Country Western-style gala, turning Hermosa Vista School into a chic Hermosa Ranch.

General Admission: $200
Admits one to the Hearts of Hermosa gala!
Includes: dinner, drinks, auction, DJ, live music, & dancing
Must be 21 years or older.
Teacher Ticket: $125
Can’t attend on May 10th? Consider helping a beloved teacher of our school district attend by purchasing a TEACHER TICKET, and receive a 100% deduction!
What Is Hearts of Hermosa?
Each year, Hearts of Hermosa gathers the entire HVS community members to celebrate Hermosa Schools. All of the food, drinks, and auction items are generously donated by local restaurants, bars, brands, businesses, and parents. HVS teachers and staff offer unique Teacher Experiences and the schools’ invaluable Young at Art docents showcase collective student talent—all up for bidding in the auction. Hearts event planners are all parent volunteers working tirelessly to bring you an incredible night. We look forward to our HBEF Community Partners joining to celebrate their ongoing support—sponsors make our Hearts shine!
Our galas wouldn’t happen without YOU—the parents, caregivers, and community members who party the night away with us to raise money for our schools!
The History of Hearts of Hermosa
On February 14, 1996, approximately 50 parents gathered for a Valentine’s dinner fundraiser to benefit Hermosa Beach schools. Hearts of Hermosa, as it was called, was the beginning of what became Hermosa Beach Education Foundation.
We extend our deepest gratitude to this dedicated group of parents and community members who recognized the need to address the funding gap in our schools and ignited a passion for a strong public school district. That mission is as important today as it was then—the best investment we can make is in our children’s education.
Hearts Entertainment
Wander about the Hermosa Ranch enjoying amazing food and drink offerings from all our favorite local restaurants and bars—including delicious bites, craft beverages, and handcrafted treats.
Vox DJs will be spinning tunes for every taste on the dance floor—don’t worry if you’re not a country music fan, we got you covered! Plus, a very special addition to our entertainment lineup: a set by favorite local band Country Thunder (Look for some familiar HVS faces on stage!).

The 2025 Hearts of Hermosa auction features an incredible array of products, services, and experiences—all donated by your fellow parents and local businesses.
Silent Auction
Opens: Monday, May 5th, 9:00am
Closes: Saturday, May 10th, 9:45pm
Register now to be eligible to bid on all the amazing items. Everything from wine, restaurant gift cards, and jewelry to health & beauty services and kid’s sports!
Even if you cannot attend the gala on May 10th, you are eligible to participate. Everyone who is registered will receive a notification when the auction is live with a link to view and bid on auction items.

With auction items from coveted sports tickets to an African Safari, you won’t want to miss this! Bidding is for Hearts attendees only.
Teacher Experiences
Over 50 teachers and staff have generously offered up their time as part of our auction. Don’t miss the chance to let your child hang with their favorite Hermosa teacher or staff member (plus a friend!) — they’ll have a chance to grab ice cream, attend a pizza party, play TopGolf, or even be PRINCIPAL for the day!

Parking
The Hermosa Vista Parking Lot will be closed to general parking and street parking is very limited. We strongly encourage you to walk or rideshare to the event.
Keep the horses at home — we don’t have stalls!
