What Is Hearts of Hermosa?
Each year, Hearts of Hermosa gathers the entire HVS community to celebrate and support our schools. It’s a night where teachers, staff, parents, and local business owners come together to party the night away for a great cause.
Our galas wouldn’t happen without YOU — the parents, caregivers, and community members who party the night away with us to raise money for our schools!
The History of Hearts of Hermosa
On February 14, 1996, approximately 50 parents gathered for a simple Valentine’s dinner fundraiser. That night, Hearts of Hermosa was born, igniting the passion that eventually became what is now the Hermosa Beach Education Foundation.
We extend our deepest gratitude to those original founders who recognized the need to address the funding gap in our schools. Today, that mission remains as vital as ever. The best investment we can make is in our children’s education—and we happen to have a lot of fun doing it!
Tickets
General Admission: Starts at $200
Legacy Pricing: $200 per person (April 1st – April 11th)
Standard Pricing: $235 per person (after April 11th)
Admits one to the Hearts of Hermosa gala!
Includes: dinner, drinks, auction, DJ, live music, & dancing
Must be 21 years or older.
Teacher Ticket: $125
Can’t attend on May 9th? Consider helping a beloved teacher of our school district attend by purchasing a TEACHER TICKET, and receive a 100% deduction!
First-Day Incentive
Set a reminder for 10am on Wednesday, April 1st, to grab your tickets on Day One, and you’ll receive this cool limited-edition Hearts of Hermosa trucker hat!

Introducing Yacht & Bothered, Hermosa’s own yacht rock & ’80s cover band, along with KC Campbell from VoxDJs, spinning all the best beats
The Voyage Agenda
6:00 PM — All Aboard
Enjoy amazing food and drink offerings on the HVS Lido Deck from all our favorite local restaurants, bars, and brands — including delicious bites, craft beverages, and handcrafted treats
7:00 PM — Band: Yacht & Bothered
Hermosa’s own Yacht & Bothered takes the stage with a banging set of Yacht Rock and ’80s tunes.
8:30 PM — Live Auction
Gather at the main stage and be ready to bid on exclusive items, including luxury travel packages, sports tickets, and unique community experiences.
9:00 PM — DJ & Dancing
The party shifts into high gear as we leave the dock behind and Vox DJs takes over with non-stop beats. Fuel up for more dancing with our late-night taco bar.
10:45 PM — Last Call at the Galley
One final toast to an incredible night! The bar will officially close as we prepare to return to port.
11:00 PM — Anchors Down
The event adjourns. Thank you for sailing with us and supporting the Hermosa Beach Education Foundation!

Hearts of Hermosa Auction
The 2026 Hearts of Hermosa auction features an incredible array of products, services, and experiences—all donated by your fellow parents and local businesses.
Silent Auction
Opens: Monday, May 4th, 9:00am
Closes: Sunday, May 10th, 10:00pm
Register now to be eligible to bid on all the amazing items. Everything from wine, restaurant gift cards, and jewelry to health & beauty services and kid’s sports!
Even if you cannot attend the gala on May 9th, you are eligible to participate. Everyone who is registered will receive a notification when the auction is live with a link to view and bid on auction items.
Live Auction
Live at Hearts of Hermosa: Saturday, May 9th

With auction items from coveted sports tickets to vacations, you won’t want to miss this! Bidding on the live auction is for Hearts attendees only.
Teacher Experiences
Over 50 teachers and staff have generously offered up their time as part of our auction. Don’t miss the chance to let your child hang with their favorite Hermosa teacher or staff member (plus a friend!) — they’ll have a chance to grab ice cream, attend a pizza party, play TopGolf, or even be PRINCIPAL for the day!

Ahoy, friends! We’re setting a course for an unforgettable Hearts of Hermosa Auction, and we need our crew to help make waves. Our captains at the helm, Connie Bern and Lindsey Gott, are collecting stellar donations—vacation escapes, concert and event tickets, gift cards, fine wine, one-of-a-kind experiences, and more.
Whether it’s a grand getaway or a small treasure, every contribution helps keep this ship cruising toward success!

Parking
The Hermosa Vista Parking Lot will be closed to general parking and street parking is very limited. We strongly encourage you to walk or rideshare to the event.
Keep the horses at home — we don’t have stalls!
